HRA SUPERVISES MOCK GCE, COMMENDS EXAMINERS AND OTHER STAKEHOLDERS

The Chairman, Odi-Olowo/Ojuwoye LCDA Hon. Rasaq Olusola Ajala and his team today supervised the students who sat for their " MOCK GCE" today.
It will be recalled that the students who are residents of Odi-Olowo/Ojuwoye LCDA have been given the opportunity to pick GCE forms freely from the local council if they were able to pass the MOCK exam.
The students had trooped out in their large numbers by 2:00 pm today to test their abilities in the exam at Odi-Olowo Primary School along town planning way.
Over 200 students participated in the exercise.
While addressing the students, Hon. Ajala informed them to try their best but should desist from examination malpractice.
The Education Secretary in Mushin Local Government Mrs. Willy Akinlude told the students to attempt the questions in the best way they can but warned them not to cheat during the test.
Some students who spoke after the examination commended the council for putting up such program.
Olalekan Lateefat from 35, Labinjo street Mushin commended the Chairman and his team for putting up the program. She said:" This will save our parents some amount of money if we are able to get the forms.
Olayinka Dolapo Samuel from Ajayi Crowther Secondary School in Shomolu who live at 42, Adesiyan street said the program is laudable. He prayed to God to continue to bless the council Boss.
Mr. Lanre Ilori who is the Director of Prestige Tutor, a Tutorial Class in Fadeyi commended Hon. Ajala for the program.
"The students were well organized and everything was in order " This is a significant step in the administration of Hon. Ajala," he said.
He prayed to God to continue to bless him and his team.
Felicia Olajumoke from Estste Senior Secondary School who is a resident of 19, Shoetan Street in Onipanu said she found the examination easy and thanked the Chairman for the opportunity given to them to pick the forms.
One of the parents, Mrs. Mustapha Halimat from 7, Adelabu Street thanked the chairman for the program. She said she hoped her daughter, Balkis Mustapha passes the exam so she can pick the form.
She commended the Chairman and his team for organizing such program. She prayed to God to bless the Chairman and his team.
Addressing the people after the marking of the scripts by the examiners immediately after the exams at the main hall of the council, Hon. Ajala said the essence of adopting the method used was to promote meritocracy and demonstrate the belief in our slogan "Common Pool for Common Benefits".
"We want to change the narrative out there that one must know the people in government before they can benefit from the system," he said
"We are trying to inculcate the reading culture in our students. We want them to develop Catholic flair for reading " We want to ensure our children work hard to attain success "
We have put in place the system that is instituted for everyone to benefit " That is what we need to do as people, that is what we need to do as a nation if truly we want our people to be patriotic, we want them to believe in our government," he concluded.
At the program were the Vice Chairman, Hon. Seyi Jakande, leader of the legislative arm of government in the council Hon. Rilwan Ajenifuja, Councilors of ward A2, Hon. Haruna Adeosun, C1B Hon. Bode Adeosun, B1, Hon. Lookman Akinniyi (Jnr) and the majority leader Hon. Bamidele Akinlabi.
